I'm Back! Did you miss me?

This is how I pictured you all waiting urgently for me to emerge again from my school induced vactaion. Let me tell you that it wasn't that fab no beverage on the plane, and horrible reading material. So if you have a moment let the curtain up, Light the lights, cue the music cause Blake is Back!

I missed you all! Really!

Miracle story of the day. Little blue was ready for his funeral. I had the eulogy ready, the mormon potatoes in the oven warming, and ready to begin to sit shiva for my beloved ipod. Till a marvelous thing happened. I went to the Best Buy (Gotta love those product replacement plans) and I sadly handed little blue over to Mary. With deep contentration she stared at little blue, poked around a little bit, fondled his buttons, spinned his wheel and pronoced him dead. Then she said give me a moment. I waited. I held my breath. I paced around the store and then I heard a loud voice from across the room, the store filled with a bright white light..every one faded away for a minute. Then in a booming voice that filled me with awe and terror she exlcaimed :

Little Blue come forth!

Then the light faded, the wind stopped, and it became silent then with a fading little glow growing stronger Little blue flickered, his pulse weak but strong. He lives! Little Blue Lives! Saints be prasied!

Oh did I mention I was 217?

Its one of those things I just drop in casual conversation you know Oh your dog died? I'm so sorry. Did I mention I'm 217? I used to be 230 but through the torcherous journey of South Beach and excerise I'm doing great. Oh you have pictures? Wait let me show you the ones of my vanishing stomach. Wait my weight loss insn't that intersting to you? I'm insenstive? You are the one with the dead dog.. apparently the sleep depervation is getting to me.

And now presenting the act you have all been waiting for....

The Bridget Jones Moment:
Weight 217!
BMI: 31.12! I'm almost out of the obese range! Now on to overweight! I never thought I would be so exicted to write those words...

This is a P.S post. Thanks Brittany (Stats wondergirl!) and Chris (Brittany's boy toy) for stopping by and visting me in the Lundstrum office! You are marvelous! See if you see Blake you get mentioned on Blake's Blog! Quite the incentive no? Oh and my cool Boss Richard!

Oh how I have fallen..kinda...

(First I must send out an apology to my friend Katie who took this photo she is very rarely seen stuffing her face while I on the other hand is quite known to do it all the time!)
Today I had enough of the South Beach. I didn't want that great healthy breakfeast but rather I wanted a big ole' scone from Angies. If you have not had a scone from Angies than shame on you come up to Logan and I will take you to the place where the Locals eat! And I will introduce you to this wonderful thing served with honeybutter, slathered all over the place. These are not small scones. Starving children somewhere could tear this apart and be full for months on end. I know because it has often been my college version of mana. Some people have cup o noddles and Ramen. I have scones from Angies.

My body was missing the carbs. Day ten on the death march as I have begun to call it and so I took five minute break. Did I drive down to Angies like my body wanted me to? No. I still don't trust myself yet to go crazy, I still avoid Ice cream (except for those marvelous, wonderful, beautifully created sugar free fudgeiscals. praise to the person who created them!) Chocolate no,(well sugar free turtles) and no bread. None.

Today was a special day. My friend Camille had come down from Boise (this woman who inspires me on so many levels. Virtual Slurpee runs? Midnight drives to Krispey Kremes? Priceless!) and we needed to visit a resturant. Not just any resturant but Cafe~Sabor! Again if you have not eaten there then you need to come up and visit Blake and I will take you there. (Are you catching the subtle hints yet?) So I had their Deluxe Taco Salad. Marvelous! I didn't even eat the whole thing! Insert praise here_____. To top it off I didn't even eat desert. Surprising no?

I think I am ready to enter phase 2 of the diet where I reintroduce myself to fruit, and complex carbs, but I have learned that Jorge is a marvelous bread maker so we are going to try very heart healthy breads. If not then off to Shaffers Bakery (I might have to have one 60 cent eclair) remisent of the great ones ZCMI used to have. A moment of silence for the fallen pastry. Anyway back to the point they have great bread and its cheap and its healthy. (Join me for an eclair?)
Has anybody tried these? Coldstone Cupcakes? If you have will you take a moment and leave a comment about them? Tell me if they are good? Bad? Worth it? I won't get it but whoever writes the best description I will give them my coupon for a free one.

Say goodnight Blakie!

Bridget Jones Moment:

Since I took the day off from the diet I didn't do the weighing, pedometer, etc. So tomorrow that will be a joyous reuion!

Breakfeast: Didn't have time for it.
Chicken salad with beans, mushrooms, celery, and a smile!
Deluxe Taco salad. with chips and a glass of water.
Sugar free turtle , 2 cookies, and thats it!

Tomorrow I might be blogging from O-Town. It might be a very bare bones kinda show. Sorry folks!

My secret and only real true love..

My Name is Blake and I have a problem...

I truly love this Show!

Do you want to hear the story about my little obession? You see it was shortly after my favorite teenage drama had been removed from the air (The O.C how I truly loved you but I found somebody new, its not you it's me call me sometime..) and I was looking for something to fill in the gap that had been left in my heart. I was lonely, desperate, and scared.

One night after finals week of christmas break my roommates (and most of the building) fled home to be pampered by their loving parents. While I alone and sufffering with just a bowl of Cup of noodles and cheezy holiday songs tried to stave off the emptiness that had been placed into my life by the cancelation of the O.C. What was I to do? Sitting alone in an empty apartment (and deciding that I needed to find some nurishment and better entertainment) I went off to find an adventure.

So I went to Walmart (Don't Judge not all of us have a Target near by).

Filling my grocrey cart with oreos (the red christmas ones. It's not that I don't like the regular ones but the ones with color seem to taste better but to each their own) and milk I went to the movie department. There it was. The first season on a special holiday clearance for 10.00 Dollars! So I went home and put it in the DVD player and from the moment the ABC symbol appeared I proceeded to watch the whole first season in one night! I couldn't stop. I needed to know what was going to happen next what doctor was going to sleep with the other, who had parent issues, and lets face it we are all Merideths searching for a McDreamy.

It was at 4 in the morning when I was buying the second season that I knew I could never go back.

Since then I wait every fall for the new season to come out on DVD. This season is the first I have actually watched during the whole course of a year. Thanks to my person (Katie) each Thursday is an adventure to be explored.

Where is the Love?

Tragedy has struck.

Little Blue has passed away at 7:45 am this morning.

Little Blue was my ipod. He has gone with me through all sorts of adventures from Hawaii to ice cream labeling day at Aggie Ice cream. He played the music when I was sad, glad, or just needed to hear that the single ladies needed a ring on it. I don't know how to get through the days. I want to pick him up and turn him on and hear him play the songs but he is silenced. Silenced! Let the phone be put off the hook, let their be a moment of silence for this wonderful piece of Apple equipment.

Now a little song to make me feel better:

I would have given you all of my heart But there's someone who's torn it apart and he's taken just all that I have But if you want I'll try to love again Baby, I'll try to love again, but I know...The first cut is the deepest Baby I know The first cut is the deepest But when it comes to bein' lucky, he's cursedWhen it comes to lovin' me, he's worst...I still want you by my side Just to help me dry the tears that I've cried...take it away...

An Explanation on the Mamma Mia workout.

Dear Readers,

Some of you had asked what the Mamma Mia workout is. Now for all of you familar with the Meryl Streep/ABBA marvolus piece of movie candy go ahead and scroll back down to the work out pics from last Saturday. For those of you who need a refresher let me explain Meryl Streep, ABBA, Greece, and love is the basic premise (plus wonderful singing by Pierce Brosan. James Bond singing? What has the world come to? ) All of you who scrolled down eyes back up here.

Anyway I had run out of music to listen to while sweating on the Ellicptical machine. Beyonce had put all the single ladies put a ring on it, U2 had me having odd thoughts (if you are on a streets with no name then your GPS is obviously not working duh.) and my fail all the crazy wreck Amy Wienhouse making me going I would rather not be home with you (cause of the line "I rather be home with Blake than do seventy days..) so I was in a knundrum.

Then Lighting hit my brain.

If I could do the whole soundtrack then I could reward myself with a fudgiscal. Sad what I get exicited about nowsdays isn't it? So every MWFS I put on the soundtrack and off I go! Then I go lay down for 15 minutes and I am grateful for being able to move.

A letter from a dear Friend...

Dear Blake,

How are you? I miss you so much. I heard from Pito the toaster that you started the South Beach Diet. What's the story with that? Do you remember the nights that we made that delicous banana bread? Oh! You missed St. Patricks Day did we have plans to do Sugar cookies together?

What has happened to our relationship? Don't you care about me? I mean I promised you lasting love and fiedility but if you want to throw that away for a piece of celery that's your choice but don't expect me to sit on your counter waiting for you to come home. I want to try. If you need counicling I will wait for you!

Here is my real post..

It was a beautiful day today. I was stuck once again in the Lundstrum center office from 12 to 6 looking out the window at the glory of spring. Oh happy spring. I wanted to be outside so badly! Oy!

So today marks the one day start of South Beach diet. It used to be so easy when I was a pig. I would just go to the store and look for the boxes and shiny things that would scream Buy Me, I am sugary delicious! Eat Me, Love me! It was a glorious orgy of bright advertisng and high frucose corn surypt.

Here is a picture to my new reality.

I miss my old life.

Now for the fun part..cause sharing is caring!

Aren't you proud of me? I paralled parked on a hill! Not facing down but up! See there is hope for me.

Today was a great day because A. Grant was born he's a cute little stinker and has great hope. So thats good. Also its Friday it is almos to my one week mark on the South Beach Diet! One nice thing is that my stomach is now running away in fear. I hear it rumbling (or perhaps its hungry?) it knows its death knell is coming!

Small confession. Tonight was so much fun. My friends Bridger and Katie (my Grey's Anatomy buddy) and some othe people I didn't know so well went up Logan Canyon for a campfire adventure. Bridger makes awesome dump cake. I mean like killer dump cake over a fire, well being in the canyon and celebrating my weight of 221.7 I had some. I know. I know. Three hail marys and a 40 minutes on the treadmill. I feel so dirty.

So anyway it is a great day. I am so exicited for tomorrow. Start of week 2 here we come!

Hi Mr. Boss Man!

I am sitting in the Lundstrum office on the first day of spring. It is nice outside a lovely 52 degrees. I however am stuck inside my cell (excuse me the office) watching the lovely day outside with the door open listening to the breeze and traffic passing by. As I sit here staring out the window I am faced with this.

"Excuse me but can we rent some discs for Frisbee golf?"

(Can't they see I am busy staring out the window? )

Me: Do you have your Student Id's?

(How dare they interupt my spring fever? Don't they know that I am in Mourning for the Aggies?)

"We don't go to this School."

Me: Well then I can't let you check them out.

(Sweet now I can sit here and arrange the pencils in order)

Suddenly Mr. Bossman appears. The big boss. My boss boss boss. Three chains of authority. The big honcho.

Mr. Bossman: This is my son. He is going on a mission in a week. These are his firends. You can put their discs on my Id card.

Me: Gulp.

Them: Smile and saunter off into the realm of frisbe golf.

I hate frisbee golf.

Love is All around..

This is going to be a short post. My dear friend Ali and Kyle are getting ready to have their baby Grant. Normally this would be wonderful news because they are awesome people (Ali has done amazing programs for me and her Sister Kellie is a wonderful friend) Grant has Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome and has to go through intense surgrey right after the birth in order to survive. The survival rate for these babies is extremely low due to the invaisve and extremely painful surgries. Please keep them in your prayers and your thoughts. They have had a year full of trials and I hope that this will be a light trial for them.

Day five here at Camp South Beach.

Dear people,
It is day five here at Camp South Beach. Things are starting to get rough over here. Sugar attacks are coming from all angles and the troops are begining to deal with apathy towards lean foods. We haven't heard a word from camp cupcake in over five days, the same with quadron Hagaan Daz. We are worried that they have been captured. Moral is low. So low that I had a contraband substance. One pretezel. It was there in a bowl and before I knew it the salty carb was in my mouth. I feel so dirty. Like I betrayed my fellow soilders. I will repent tomorrow. Hopefully things will pick up. Till the next letter.

Praise the Lord I can hear again!

Today was suppose to be like this:

But instead it was like this:

So you could see how this day was full of magical possibilities. After my post last night many of you must have sent out your great postive enegry in the direction of Bridgerland Auidology which had finally received these:

Picture them in BLUE. A very Manly blue. With my awesome buddy Tek I can now bluetooth my phone, ipod, tv, etc to my hearing aids. So now when you think I am talking to myself I could be jamming out to some new cool song, or talking to somebody. These things are awesome! However I can now hear things I never thought possible like the fridge running. So if I ever get prank called and somebody says is your refrigdator running I can respond why yes it is! Thanks for asking! This is marvolous. However extremely dangerous with Spring fever rising with in me.

Now for some serious matters.

South Beach Day 2.

I woke up this morning and went running on the ellipictical machine for 30 minutes. It was fab! No one was in there so they didn't have to see me jiggle and bounce all over the place. It was nice it started the morning off on the right foot.

The sugar cravings are driving me nuts and I don't mean 15 of them.

Bridgit Jones Moment:

Breakfeast: 2 eggs scrambled with mushrooms and 2 slices of candian Bacon. (Why is it called Candian?) 4oz. of yogurt and three sticks of small pieces of celery with laughing cow spred.

Lunch: A club salad with light italian dressing.

Dinner: Grilled Chicken and aspargus and brocloci.

Snacks: 15 almonds 1 sugar free pepermint, 1 string cheese, and one sugar free lifesaver, and my savior the fudgiscal. (Songs could be written about this wonderful thing!)

Steps walked: 6242 or 3.4 miles

Calories burned:509.0

I was so happy about my hearing aids the sugar cravings died down! Yippe! Till tomorrrow!

Oh Sugar Sugar..oh honey honey..

I just want sugar. Lots and lots of sugar. I haven't ever felt this way. I had the best meals today and all I wanted was one of these.

Just the thought made me want to jump over the Lundstrum office desk and go buy one or make one and lick the bowl over and over again. I need it! I want it! Don't I deserve it? Well actually I have over deserved myself lately and that is the reason why I need this blog. It wouldn't be that entertaining if it was called Blake is skinny.

Detox Sucks. 13 days let to go.

Pray. Oh and while you are praying could you ask that my hearing aid molds come soon so that I can wear my new hearing aids instead of my broken ones? Thanks!

Bridigt Jones Moment:

BMI: 32.30

Water:4 liters (and the bathroom trips to prove it!)

Miles walked: 3.8

Calories burned from walking: 622.7

Workout time: 20 minutes on Wii fit (Mostly step and balance it was a sunday and I deserve rest)

1 egg scrambled with mushrooms

4oz of fatfree plain yogurt

6 oz of fruit/veg juice (whoops)

Salad with chicken 2 tbsp of baslamic vinegar

Aspargus and grilled Salamon

1 sugar free fudgsical

15 almonds 2 sugar free peppermints, a stick of celery with peanut butter.

Say my name say my name...

Did I ever mention how much I like my name? Well I do and I found this cool website that you can make these awesome shirts for kids and find out what the name means at whatalovelyname.com. Thanks Noelle for the fun entertainment while I am in the office! Any way my name means either bright or lightskinned or dark and darkskinned. Who knew. It explains the dark and twisty moments.

Today I started South Beach and can I just say how much I like sugar? How I think of it constantly? I am actually exicited for school to start so that I can take my mind off of this need to eat. The thing is I have eaten great things today, things I love and all the sudden without the carbs and sweets I am going beknockers!

Along with this joyful journey is now I am limiting myself to stop eating by 7:30 p.m. I hope by doing so I can kick my fat belly to the curb and not look like a pregant/beached whale/future summo wrestler/ being unhealty person.
However we did get lucky when it came to church today. Due to spring break church was held at 9 instead of 1. Did my roommates and I think to check. Nope. So we showed up at church and were blessed with the glorious news that church had already been had. We drove around trying to find a sacrement meeting but it didn't work out. So I got lucky on this beautiful cold almost spring day! How lucky can you get?
Bridgit Jones moment coming soon.

Do you like the way I jiggle and bounce?

So here is an intersting question I was asked about losing weight one that made me think really hard about this whole weight lost adventure. The question was "Are you ready to be able to absorb the pain of everyday life without your fat to insluate you?" Woah. Deep. I use food as a way to protect myself from boredom, frustration, and sadly as a way to protect myself from deep emotional pitfalls. Fail a test? Well then you deserve a nice big ol' banana split to heal the pain. Get rejected? Go to the Cold stone and get yourself a love it size cotton candy with rainbow sprinkles. Bored? Nothing says fun than a slurpee. It was those moments that I let myself become a emotional wasteland. Terrible isn't it?

Its okay though. I am ready to shed this weight off. In an odd way its like shedding the four years at USU. I have loved being here in Logan, loved the experiences of growing up but with those moments came the weight. I realized that if I keep up on the rate that I was going on I was going to be prime canidate for a heart attack or worse. So here is the reason why I post.

Bridigt Jones Moment:
Weight 224
Water: 72 ozs

Now for the big news Guess what starts tomorrow?

Im starting to hate shamrocks.

Today is one of those days. After last night of stuffing my face with the wrong types of food (ice cream, hamburger, french fries, and York patty) that I decided that there had to be a punishment attached to such naughty behavior. As a half bulimic (meaning I binge but don't purge) it came down to one thing.
Shamrocks. Lots and lots of shamrocks.
Because its bulletin board season at Wastach Hall I have been infected with the St.Patrick's day spirit. Now for those of you who haven't had the joy of being infected with the St. Patrick's day spirit it is mainly a fasination with the color green, little irish men, and a strong desire to get drunk with cornbeef and cabbage. So for yesterday's naughtiness I am sitting here in the Lundstrum center office all alone waiting for the UPS man (who promised me he would be in between the hours of 10 to 1.) to sign for that one package I am cutting out shamrocks. Lots and lots of shamrocks. So many that it is making me hate the idea of this holiday. For one thing nobody reads my carefully crafted bulletin boards (which I spend hours working on,my fingers bleeding from paper cuts, my eyes crusty with no sleep but for the sake of the wastach hall residents I do it) so now it is 11:33 and I have six more pages of shamrocks to cut out.
How lucky can I get?

I've Got Soul but I'm Not a Soldier..

These last couple of days have been so nice for a vacation but now I am hitting that slump where all I feel is like seriously this isn't so exiciting anymore and can we go out for ice cream? I went to the gym yesterday and it was great! I did two miles on the ellicptical and two miles on the machine that is the ellicptical but without the arm movements and then I did a mile around the track. Whee!

Then today I was naughty I woke up early (on my spring break! WTF?) and then went back to bed. I did two miles on the treadmill and normally my Fergie/Beyonce/The Killers mix gets me through but I was dying! The joys of being out of shape and fat!

6 oz of V8 and then I went back to bed.

I've been Bad and that ani't good.

So I went down to Ogden for Momma Joye's Birthday! IT was great fun. But not so great on the whole weight loss plan. I was such a slug yesterday, just an oozing puss sitting on the couch watching t.v. It was terrible. However its a new day. So hopefully things are going to be great. If my post are short its because of limited access to the internet.

So here is a brief recap of Saturday

1,2,3,4 tell me that you love me more...

Its a good day! I just got done doing my 55 minutes of Wii fit and its a good day cause guess what? I've lost 1.5 pounds! My Wii fit age is now 41! I'm only 17 years older than I am suppose to be! Whippe!
Its been almost a week since I've started this and I feel happy. The only problem is I wish my stupid scatic nerve would stop acting old and get in line with the program. I'm on the right track no more fat graduation pictures!

Have a Great Day!Oh Happy Birthday Momma Joye!

See you tonight

I'm not much to look at not much to see..

There! I said it! I was reading an article yesterday about how if we own the titles that are applied to us then we can take them, own them, make them a part of us and the ones we don't want? Well then we wear them and slide them off. So the word FAT is the one I really want to shed away. Its like the shirt that you got as a present. Now there isn't anything wrong with it per say. Maybe the color is a little off, the sleeves are little short but you wear it any way because its the last one in the drawer and you aren't in the mood to do the laundry. So you wear it hoping nobody notices. Well thats how I feel about being fat. It bugs me but I wear it anyway because its comfortable. But its time for the fat title to move on and find somebody else to rest upon.

I've been a bad bad boy...

So today was one of those Naughty days. I went out to lunch with some friends and that wasn't the greatest of ideas when you are craving tons of fatty substances. Why is it that you tell yourself that you are going to be completely strong and you end up gouging yourself on all sorts of declicous food?
Another reason why today was so crazy. I had a huge test and was stressed out! Thursday not so much fun! However if you get the chance watch the movie Murderball!

However I avoided caffiene! Yay! Three whole days without one of these!

Left over Primvera, glass of milk and eight oreos.
Cliff bar and a Almond Joy (I know I know).

5:45 a.m.! Really? Seriously?

So at 5:45 I woke up to what I thought was this.

But it was really this.
Really people?
But thats okay. Since I was now up I decided that it would be a perfect time to use the treadmill and do a quick run before I had to run to the job fair. It was quite a morning.
Wii fit age:43
Ran 1.8 Miles
Calories (according to the treadmill):156
Time: 15 minutes.
Not great for the first day but running the stairs at 5:45 to get everybody out had to have helped right?

First post and a rather funny story...

This is my weight-loss blog. See in the last four years I have gained over 30 pounds. Kinda sad isn't it? So In order to keep me moviated I thought that I could start a blog and allow everybody who has gained a little junk in the trunk and over insulated to share their story. Also being rather large and in charge I needed something to respond to before I ate a whole pint of Coffee Heath Crunch.

The reason why I posted this pic was beacause it just shows how much weight I've gained in my face!

Also I figured since I'm not getting Married time soon I figured that this would be a lot more informational than my facebook page. So enjoy.

I also posted the picture of my sister who is on the opposite end of the fitness scale as a contrast
